Ripple
Effect of Discipleship |
OCTOBER 2006
One pebble thrown into a lake creates ripples
which reach beyond our sight.
Nina and I saw this last Sunday, October 8, after visiting the
church where Wayne is
discipling
the church staff. Recently, the senior pastor, who was there
for 14 years, was lead to resign for another ministry position.
Yet, we are seeing how God is using what has been built into the
remaining leadership (the staff pastors and one deacon) through
these months of discipleship.
At the end, the associate pastor, Ric McCoy, in tears asked
those in the congregation who have been touched by his life
and how God is working through him in this discipleship process
to talk with Wayne and Nina to encourage them for building into
him. For one and a half hours we were amazed to hear one story
after another of how God is touching others through the impact
on Ric’s life
SEPTEMBER 2006
15 Years of Ministry in Writing to Reproduce Discipleship...
Nina and I have been discipling God's people for over
15 years now. Our confidence is NOT in what we do, but that we
are walking people through Christ's

purpose
and path for discipleship as recorded in the book of Mark. This
is NOT our ideas on what discipleship should be all about.
IT
IS THE ROADMAP CHRIST SET UP FOR HIS DISCIPLES (click
to view this roadmap as defined by God in Mark). And then,
at the end, He told them to GO and DISCIPLE in the same manner
I have with you (Matt. 28:19, 20)
We have just been chosen to package this method and message in
a form that communicates and is reproducible today.
We are contacting publishers and will send the written manuscript
,
The
Disciple Code...Book 1 / The Illusion of Trust
to be examined by them. If there is interest, we are open to how
this might be pursued, whether that is traditional or self or
electronic publishing. We want to investigate ways to publish
it in an E-BOOK form so that people can purchase the materials
online. The value this represents is that costs will be lower
(since their is no literal book production and distribution).
Also, an advantage will be that people will be able to order the
materials anytime or anywhere.
