Vision Statement

Quantum L.E.A.P. Discipleship has established a biblical philosophy of
Christ's discipleship process and provides services, programs, and materials
based upon this to assist people in becoming mature disciples of Jesus Christ today.
Mission Statement

Quantum L.E.A.P. Discipleship develops disciples in the Christian faith through establishing
the "Follow Me" process from the book of Mark as foundation for one's walk with God.

Purpose

The Christian life is not difficult to live; it is impossible to live.
The purpose of Christ's discipleship process was to transition His men from a performance-based acceptance founded trying to live up to God's standard--the law. This system used fear to motivate and accountability to get people to live up to the standard of God's truth. Christ had a new way coming that would be empowered at the cross--the freedom of an identity-based relationship (accepted apart from behavior) founded in liberty. This system would be grace-based to lead people by His Spirit to live in accord to their new spirit's identity. Yet, it meant a three-year journey for Christ to wash out the old illusions of law-based "stinkin' thinkin'" to immerse his disciples in a new way of thinking, feeling and responding to His leading in their lives.

As a result, growth became something they RECEIVED under this Spirit's work in their lives, not something they ACHIEVED under their own efforts to measure up to God's truth. in fact, God never expected us to live the Christian life or measure up to His truth. The law was to teach us we could NOT do this (James 1:18-21; Gal. 3-5; Phil. 4; Rom. 6-8).

Much like the illusion picture below, we get our focus on the wrong way in which growth occurs in our lives. If you focus on the area which the red arrow points to, it can be:

Quantum L.E.A.P. Discipleship's Purpose is to be a catalyst for change
in the same way today. Christ's discipleship process brings change to a Christian's focus
or perspective from no longer living under the Achieving System of performing
for God to the Receiving System of allowing Him to lead us in order to receive
the power of His Spirit to transform us one area or issue at a time...
ACHIEVING SYSTEM RECEIVING SYSTEM

to measure up to God's truth to change my actions (how I perform). (James 1:20)
...respond to Spirit's work to implant
or establish God's truth in me to save my soul (who I become). (James 1:21)

Change focus to...

 • Law-Based Performance.... using fear, guilt, shame, and control as the basis for controlling behavior. Such bondage is about avoiding failure.

• Liberty-Based Freedom....using uncondi-tional love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness as the basis for changing behavior. Such freedom even allows the freedom to fail.
 • Becoming ....(by learning / applying / doing). I try to become a better Christian and live the Christian life by learning and applying the principles of God's Word. I look to a professional to lead me to become...  • Following ....(through trusting / repenting) My job is to "follow God" / His job is to make me become. I am to learn to follow His Spirit so that He can establish His Word in my spirit one area at a time. He is leading me to become...

 • Educating the mind....to learn & apply God's truth in the roles God gives me to perform better.

 • Engaging the heart....to respond in trust & repentance to the Spirit revealing his word through cirumstances in which God leads me.

 • Information....depending upon learning and applying God's good truth through human effort to produce change.

 • Illumination....depending upon the Spirit to lead through circumstances and to reveal His truth one issue at a time to produce supernatural transformation as I respond to what the Spirit is doing in my heart.

 • Educating through an event (class/seminar)....(often thought as renewing the mind) to produce growth by gathering more information on how to live the Christian life. Sees education as a preparation for life.

 • Establishing & ingraining a process over time....on how to "follow Christ" whose Spirit will live through us and transform how we live one issue at a time. It will take a long period of time to embrace and follow such a process as a basis for all of life. Sees education as an outgrowth of life.
• Closed / Accountability.... Trying to grow on one's own inititative in accountability to another who got "well" through performance. Creates hypocrits putting on a mask. • Open / Community....Developing supportive and open relationships with others in process by sharing real-life experiences over time that ingrain the discipleship molding process. Fosters a place to take off the mask.
